Everything to know about Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Vancouver

Vancouver Swifties are gearing up for the three-night grand finale of the Eras Tour, which has jetted across the globe for over a year and a half now. Whether or not you lucked out with Ticketmaster, there are plenty of ways to celebrate the artist’s final stop, and we’re here to break it all down for you. Here’s everything to know about the three final Taylor Swift concerts in Vancouver next week.

Coming off of six Toronto shows, Swift is heading to BC Place for the final three nights of her record-breaking Eras Tour, on Friday, Dec. 6, Saturday, Dec. 7, and Sunday, Dec. 8.

In her most recent Instagram post, she shares her excitement to cap off her whirlwind of a tour:

“Our next city will be the last one of The Eras Tour, and the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far. See you soon, Vancouver. We can’t wait to give you all we’ve got for three more shows,” reads the post.

With thousands of fans expected to attend the final three shows, BC Place is working alongside the City, the VPD, and TransLink to ensure everything runs smoothly. But before we get into logistics, let’s start with what to expect at the shows themselves.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets right now?
Manifesting a last-minute ticket? There might be some serious price gouging going on after the release of the $15 ‘no-view’ seats earlier this week, but not all hope is lost. If you’ve got a grand or two lying around, it might just be worth splurging on this once-in-a-lifetime concert experience.

Currently, the cheapest tickets across all three days are available for $1,607 on SeatGeek, $1,631 on Vivid Seats, and $1,255 USD ($1,758.70 CAD) on Gametime.

Taylor Swift Fan Project
Fan organizers have come together to plan something (or somethings, rather) to welcome Taylor to Vancouver. So if you’re down to celebrate the end of the Eras Tour alongside fans, you can participate in various ‘welcome’ chants and even sing her “Happy Birthday!”

Taylor-themed parties & events
As for other fun Taylor-themed activations to check out, there’s no better place to kick off your Swiftie weekend than the transformed “Swiftcouver” sign along the Coal Harbour seawall.

Prefer to take your weekend to greater heights? Capilano Suspension Bridge’s Canyon Lights festivities have temporarily transformed the iconic suspension bridge into a “Taylor-inspired wonderland” with a giant friendship bracelet hanging over the canyon.

Speaking of, multiple friendship bracelets await in English Bay, donned by the City’s famed Laughing Statues!

There’s also a special edition of Science World After Dark on Wednesday, Dec. 5 with binary code friendship bracelets, extra fun trivia, and a sing-along dance party.

And for those getting dolled up and ready to hit the stadium, there’s a free pre-party on Dec. 6 at the Bentall Centre.

Pre-concert info & traffic impacts for the Taylor Swift concert
According to the City of Vancouver, BC Place and its surrounding areas will be “strictly limited to ticket holders” for the three days of the Eras Tour. Fans without tickets are strongly advised to avoid the stadium area on event nights.

Those with tickets who want to exchange friendship bracelets are urged to wear them into the stadium, or carry them in a bag that follows BC Place’s bag policy.

As for traffic impacts, the City notes the following road closures will be in effect from noon to midnight on Dec. 6, 7, and 8:

700 and 800 blocks of Beatty Street between Smithe Street and West Georgia Street
Pacific Boulevard from the Cambie Bridge off-ramp to Pat Quinn Way
Northbound Cambie Street Bridge off-ramp
100 block of Robson Street between Cambie Street and Beatty Street.
